Bio

Jim began his career in advertising after earning a BA in English from Holy Cross and a BFA in Painting and Design from the University of Michigan. He has developed print, radio, and television campaigns for local, regional, and national clients including Jiffy Lube, Administaff, Champion Spark Plugs, Slick 50, Opti-Free, Ford, GMC Trucks, Bali Blinds, and Monroe Shocks. From 1977 to 1986 he held creative positions at McCann-Erickson, J.Walter Thompson, and W.B. Doner.

As a principal of Radio Works since 1987, Jim has won national recognition for effective solutions to consumer and business-to-business communication challenges. He has helped launch brands that have gone on to dominate their markets. He has spoken to ad clubs and service organizations around the country about creating better advertising. And he has become an authority in the field of radio advertising through his book, Radio Advertising 101.5: The Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Better Radio Advertising.
